Priorities

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10 NIV

Before I pray for others, Lord, let me pray for me.
I first must cleanse my own soul, if a channel I would be.
How can any blessings flow through a pipe all full of dirt?
How can I pass on joy and peace when I am full of hurt?
So empty my poor soul, Lord, and fill me up with You.
Only then God’s light can shine like You meant It to.
